Is digital photography really better than film based photography?
Digital photography and film based photography each has its own set of unique characteristics. Digital photography is gaining popularity for both consumer and professional use mainly due to increased efficiencies in the work flow and perceived cost savings. Digital photography does have many advantages over film based photography and will continue to grow at an accelerated rate. Traditional film based photography is likely to be preserved in the realms of fine artists who wish to preserve the traditional aspects of photography and who love the inherent characteristic of film, photographic paper and printing. To say one is better than the other is a flawed argument.
